Sov) Oh, this is embarrassing. You might have guess but today, I am going to cook chicken. And chicken is a healthy way to get your strength up, and it’s even better if you have it together with vegetables, because of the extra vitamins and minerals. So, today I am going mix those two together to make a delicious Dakyukgaejang or spicy chicken soup. Follow me. Na) First, cut off the fat from the neck, thighs, and rump. This way, our soup won’t be too greasy. Pour in water, and leek, ginger, whole garlic, ginger, and add whole pepper to reduce any bad odors. We’re going to use this water later, so don’tthrow it away. Chop up the boiled cabbage leaves, and season with salt and soy sauce, garlic, red chili powder. You have to be careful with cabbage leaves because you can get too chewy if you boil them too long. Sov) Okay. We are done with chicken. All right. It’s seems like we are done. So, it is going to so hot. So, I am going to put it aside. Okay. Long time no see~ Na) Chop up the shitake mushrooms and boil them. Bone the chicken and shred the meat. The ingredients are ready! Spoon out the fat on the top. Now boil the chicken, cabbage leaves, and broth together. Serve the soup and put the jidan(지단, egg garnish)and egg garnish on top. And we are done! Sov) It’s really refreshing, full up the energy and really easy to make! So, why don’t you try making your own Dakyukgaejang today?
